Tamek, which produces with international food safety and quality management documents at facilities in Bursa-Karacabey, Balıkesir-Manyas and Manisa-Salihli, is proud of the rate of 47 % of female employees.
After 3 Years, One of Both Employees Will Be a Woman
Cem Kurt, the General Manager of Tamek, stating the increase in the rate of female employees in Tamek by 4 % within 5 years said, "The goal is to increase the rate of female employees by 50 % in 2020, for this purpose we will increase the rate of female employees in the production department of factories".
In the food industry, it is also important that the conditions under which the fruits and vegetables are grown, as well as their freshness. Tamek, the first food company carrying into practice of controlled agriculture with the farmers, both audits the production chain and supports the Turkish Farmer with the purchase guarantee provided, thanks to this practice. Nearly 20 % of Tamek's agreed farmers are female farmers. Tamek provides free of charge the seeds, seedlings and fertilizer that contracted farmers are in need. Tamek's agricultural specialists are also interested in every field and garden extending from planting to harvesting.
Female farmers took education and became homeowners with the money they earned by working in Tamek
Each of the women, who were among the farmers of Tamek, gave a different direction to their lives with the money they earned by working in Tamek. Some of the women farmers continued their university education with their earnings and formed a fruit garden for them, some of them ensured that their children's educational life continued, and some of them had their own business. Among the women farmers of Tamek; the majority of the women who are homeowners of the money as they earned, renews their tractor space or equipment.

In Africa, Tamek already exports its products to North Africa (mainly to Libya) and to Guinea, Djibouti, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Gabon.

Actively exporting its products to 11 countries in the regon including Iraq, Qatar and Libya, Tamek has increased its exports to the Middle East by 30 percent in 2017 compared to the previous year. The expected export growth for 2018 is above 20 percent.
